This is another game of roughly this idea (using a lamp to look for creatures). The visual style works greatly in balancing the believable and realistic environment with simple and expressive style. I think it requires a decently powerful computer, though - even on medium the game didn't run very fast, this is a problem because the lamp battery seems to deplete by time, not frame-by-frame.
